Three New Publications - posted on - Saturday, October 27, 2012

Three new publications are being announced by the Genealogy Library.

Pickaway County, Ohio Ancestor Charts (2012) has 252 pages of charts prepared by visitors and staff of the library. Each is a five generation chart showing birth, birthplace, marriage, death and death place of each individual listed. Every chart has a Pickaway County connection. Beverly Brown organized and indexed this volume of helpful information. The book sells for $20.00 plus $1.40 tax and $2.50 p&h.

History of The Pickaway County Schools is a 305 page history of Logan Elm, Teays Valley and Westfall School Districts. There are many pictures and lots of information on the one room schools of the county. Maps show locations. Graduates from each school are listed along with superintendents and staff. David Beavers, retired County School Superintendent compiled this history. This book is good for a stroll down memory lane and sells for a $20 donation to the Library Building Maintenance Fund.

Pickaway Places – Pickaway People Volume 5 contains 174 pages of the popular historical articles which have appeared in the Circleville Herald since 1992. Pictures accompany most of the stories. Darlene Weaver is the author of this informative volume which costs $20.00 plus $1.40 tax and $2.00 p&h.

Research and Orders Requests - posted on - Friday, December 02, 2011

As of January 1 research will be completed by library volunteers on a first come, first served basis for $35 per surname this includes 10 copies. Requests must be made by regular mail to PCHS, 210 North Court Street, Circleville, OH 43113 and must include a letter of request with background information.

A check or money order for the research fee must accompany your request. All appropriate library collections will be researched and copies made of findings. Copies of large files will result in a request for copy costs at the rate of $.25 per copy.

Orders for books or CDs may be sent to the address above with the appropriate fees. Materials will be mailed within one week of receipt.
